Preparing Your Will

Preparing Your Will is for people who are preparing a will in British Columbia. This publication explains how to prepare a will, what to consider when appointing an executor, and next steps after the will is finished. This edition reflects the Wills, Estates and Succession Act, which became law in 2014. The information is current to January 2019. (Note that the information in this print booklet is also on our website, where it includes enhanced step-by-step guidance and links to key forms.)
