Tribute to Rob McAninch

Rob McAninch

November 6, 2018

It is with great sadness that we report the news of the death of our colleague and friend, Rob McAninch. Rob died of a heart attack on November 3.

Rob will be deeply missed by his colleagues at People’s Law School and the many friends he made over the years through his stewardship of our Justice Theatre program. Rob was the founder and “guiding light” of Justice Theatre since the 1980s. He had a true passion for teaching students and communities throughout British Columbia about the important principles that underlie our system of justice. His dedication to this work was evident to all of us — as was his positive outlook on life, his humour and his kindness.

Rob was an extraordinary person. His death is a great loss to our organization and to our community as a whole. He will be profoundly missed by the many people whose lives he touched.
