People’s Law School Responds to the Coronavirus Outbreak

March 16, 2020

Amid the ongoing concerns about COVID-19, we’d like to update you about what People’s Law School is doing to manage during these challenging times. Of paramount concern to us is the safety of British Columbians who rely on our resources and services, as well as the safety of our staff, team members and their families.

To help limit the spread of the coronavirus, we have closed our offices as of March 16. All of our staff are working from home. We're working with our public library partners to postpone upcoming classes. We continue to offer British Columbians services on the phone and online. Visit our websites at peopleslawschool.ca and dialalaw.ca, or contact us at 604-331-5400 and info@peopleslawschool.ca.

During this time of office closure, we are unable to offer access to external groups to our premises for their meetings. We are in the process of notifying organizations who have bookings for our meeting rooms; we will not be accepting new bookings until further notice.

We believe that clear communication is essential during times like these, and we are committed to ongoing communications as the situation evolves. We will continue to follow the recommendations of the Canadian and BC Centres for Disease Control, and recommend all to do so as well.

As we together face the challenges in the weeks to come, People’s Law School will continue to deliver on its mission, and help people take care of themselves and their communities.
