We are pleased to once again support the Law Society of BC’s fifth annual essay contest on the rule of law. This year’s topic is:
“Does government and/or corporate monitoring of social media adversely affect the rule of law?”
The essay contest is open to all BC grade 12 students and any secondary school students who have taken or are currently enrolled in law 12, political studies 12, social justice 12, or social studies 11. The submission deadline is April 17, 2020. Contest details, including submission guidelines, can be found on the Law Society of BC’s website.
The contest is a great opportunity for participating students to increase their understanding of this important topic — and to contribute to the public conversation on the critical role the rule of law plays in a civil society.
