Dial-A-Law six months in

October 15, 2019

Six months since we relaunched the Dial-A-Law service last winter, we’re pleased to report that the early returns have been excellent.

Available online and over the phone, Dial-A-Law is a starting point for information on the law in British Columbia in over 130 topic areas. We’re on pace to seeing half a million British Columbians benefit from Dial-A-Law in our first year of operating the service. Visitors to our rebooted dialalaw.ca website report that the information is easier to find and more understandable. Three out of four users say the information helped them identify what to do next with their legal matter.

We’re so pleased to provide a home for Dial-A-Law at People’s Law School, as it’s a great fit with our mission to provide free education and information to help people effectively deal with the legal problems of daily life. Dial-A-Law can be accessed online at dialalaw.ca or on the telephone at 1-800-565-5297 (604-687-4680 in the Lower Mainland).

This website explains in a general way the law that applies in British Columbia, Canada. The information is not intended as legal advice. The cases we refer to reflect real experiences, but names have been changed. See our full disclaimer.
